Lloyd Longfield: My Life as a Member of Parliment Presentation: Looks like a very enlightening talk of what it is like to serve in the Canadian Parliament Bio: Barb and Lloyd have been married for 47 years, and have three daughters, two sons-in-law, and four grandchildren. They have lived in Guelph for 33 years, moving here from Winnipeg. Lloyd just retired from serving as Guelph’s Member of Parliament for three terms, between 2015 and 2025. Some of those details include chairing the Standing Committee for Science and Research, Vice-Chairing Public Accounts, and serving on the Standing Committees for Environment, for Industry, and for Agriculture, as well as chairing the Innovation Caucus, the Automotive Caucus, and serving on the Seniors’ Caucus and Housing Caucus. Prior to that he was President and CEO of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Chamber Executives of Ontario and served on the Board of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce.
