          Water Supply and Source Protection in Guelph

An overview of drinking water source protection and managing water supply in the City of Guelph

Bio:
Martin Keller, Source Protection Program Manager, Grand River Conservation Authority

​Martin Keller is the Source Protection Program Manager with the Grand River Conservation Authority in Cambridge, Ontario. Martin has over twenty-five years of experience in the areas of water resource management and source protection, risk management, project management, and policy development. Martin holds a Master of Science degree in Resource Management from Lincoln University (New Zealand), a Master of Science degree in Hydrobiology/Limnology from the University of Zürich (Switzerland) and a postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.


Peter Rider, Manager, Sourcewater Protection Program, City of Guelph

Peter Rider is the Sourcewater Protection Program Manager and Risk Management Official (RMO) for the City of Guelph. He is a professional geoscientist and holds an Honours B.Sc. degree in Earth Sciences from the University of Waterloo. He has 37 years of experience in the private and public sector with a focus on groundwater supply, protection and monitoring.

​​Bio:


Madeline (Maddie) Barber has been the Community Resources Coordinator for The SEED project at the Guelph Community Health Centre since 2017. She currently leads The SEED’s communications and outreach, and many of its fundraising efforts. With a post-graduate diploma in Community Economic Development and many years’ experience in various parts of the food industry, Maddie remains most excited about economic and social innovation within local food systems.
She currently enjoys living, gardening and playing rec sports in Guelph Ontario.

RCMC Live Coffee Morning Reservations have been made at the following locations.

9:30 am  at  The Boathouse Tea Room (116 Gordon St, Guelph)  

9:00 am or before the Airpark Cafe (50 Skyway Dr, Guelph) - 
The AirPark Cafe serves a full breakfast and they open at 7am so you for early risers, you can go anytime after 7am.
