Meeting Minutes-Alex Chapman: Adapting to Climate Change in Guelph - Nov. 28th. 2019
President Julian Sale opened the meeting at 9:55 am by welcoming all in attendance and a special welcome to today’s guest presenter, Alex Chapman. Also welcomed was visitor, Mike Rupprecht, John Sneyd’s brother-in-law. There were 50 members in attendance.
Julian also announced that Ed Herold has suffered a mild stroke and is now recovering. Warm wished were extended to Ed from the Club for a speedy recovery.

Activities – Ken Marchant
- The Village-By-the-Arboretum Cabaret event was a fun event and enjoyed by all who attended.
- Two weeks from today will be the Club’s Christmas Dinner and anyone still wishing to get tickets can get them by contacting Ken right up to the event on December 12th.
- Valentine’s Day Dinner on next February 14th is booked at the Symposium Restaurant with cost still to be determined.

Alex Chapman is Manager of the Climate Change Office for the City of Guelph.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto, a Master of Business Administration from McGill University and is a Certified Energy Manager, a Certified Energy Auditor, and a Certified Renewable Energy Professional. In his diverse career he has done project engineering in the pulp and paper industry, academic research for the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands, sub-sea pipeline installation in Europe for the oil and gas sector, business analysis and IT project management for on of the world's largest professional services firms, and sales and marketing for a solar energy installation contractor. He serves on the Energy Task Force of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario and is a member of the Association of Energy Engineers. More information can be found in his profile on LinkedIn.

At the end of the presentation Alex Chapman responded to questions from the members.
John Sneyd thanked Alex Chapman and gave him a token of the Club's appreciation.
