My presentation will focus on the relationships and sexual interactions of female tourists and beach boys in the Dominican Republic. This pilot study was sponsored by the International Development Research Centre in Ottawa in response to concerns over STD and HIV transmission.. Bio My PhD was from from Iowa State University in Sociology.I was a Professor in the Department of Family Relations and Applied Nutrition, University of Guelph from 1970. to 2005. Have taught courses in couple and family relationships and human sexuality. Initiated and for 16 years was Chair of the Guelph Sexuality Conference (one of the largest annual sexuality conferences in North America). Have conducted research in the Dominican Republic and Australia as well as in Canada and the United States. The author of one book, co-author of another and about 90 refereed articles and book chapters. Have presented papers at numerous national and international conferences and received several research grants. Much of my research focused on the areas of sexuality and situational context and sexual communication.
The Board of Directors of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality elected me to be a Fellow of that organization. Fellows are elected for outstanding contributions to the sphere of sexual knowledge.

RossBrewitt's talk includes events from his time in the NHL, both humourous and serious, a first person look into the dressing rooms and front offices around the League, which includes insights into the characters of those who reside in them.
Our speaker left Thunder Bay forToronto, following a business trail that led from advertising sales, tobecoming the General Manager of Maple Leaf Sports Productions, themarketing arm of Hockey Night in Canada. He also worked directly with the MapleLeafs, Buffalo Sabres, Montreal Canadiens, and as a consultant for NHL “Goal”Magazine.Through those roles he was affordedthe beginnings of his own professional writing career eventually turning his attention tobooks…, now numbering six,… four making the bestselling lists, including Clear the Track: the Eddie Shack Story, which remained in the national top-ten non-fiction charts for 15 straight weeks. The Globe & Mail called him "... one of the best, if not THE best storytellers of this, or any age." He continues to write his regular weekly column, a consecutive string of over 1,100 Friday articles,now into its 20th year.
In 2015, he was lured back into the business side of hockey, being appointed VicePresident and General Manager of the “Players Helping Players” organization, a group working directly with all ex-NHL players. 9:30 Refreshments 10:00 Meeting
